Something wicked this way comes...

Ok, aside from the morbid shakespearean title of this blog, I want you to know that I am an optimist. I am an optimistic realist. In other words, I think most people in the country care about what is going on. People are finally starting to wake up and see that maybe Obama isn't taking us where we want to go. The Bush administration might have done a little of the ground work, which really sucks too.

Something I've noticed about Obama is that he is now just an icon. He won the presidency not because he is a great leader or even a smart one, and it's definitely not because his values match the majority of the country. Barack Obama won because he is a marketable item. He spent approximately $10.30 on every voter. Which is DOUBLE that of what Mccain spent per voter.

The shallow side of America likes the next cool thing. They like the flashy, sophisticated, and high class look of Obama. They like his many adverbs, his wife's arms (wtf is up with that anyway?), and the fact that many celebs helped campaign for him. He's trendy! See? Obama is just like you cool college kids, he has a mac and a blackberry...oooh isn't he cool? He doesn't wear his suit coat in the Oval Office, that definitely means he is one of the people, right? Whatever.

Anyway, this blog is going to be about the simple observations that I make every day. Most of them will be political because yes, I am obsessed with politics.

Thanks for reading!
